Chef
Jeff Parker first fell in love with cooking as a kid watching
Julia
Child and Graham
Kerr on television. Soon he got his
big break when he was asked to help prepare Thanksgiving dinner! Fast-forward
a few years and after receiving a degree
in Business Administration from the University of Southern
California
and some time in the business world, Jeff decided to pursue
his true passion - cooking.
In
1993, Jeff moved to Dallas, TX with two partners to open the
nation's first low-fat grocery store and restaurant. This
fast growing establishment immediately received worldwide
attention and was featured on the TV
Food Network. Inspired
to pursue a career as a chef, Jeff attended culinary school
at El Centro College
in Dallas.
After
several years working for caterers and as a freelance chef,
Jeff brings his talents to you as a Personal Chef and Caterer.
"...Jeff's wonderful cuisine can best be described
as original, amply portioned, and delicious".
In
addition to making sure that your meals are as delicious
and nutritious as possible, Jeff is dedicated to supporting
local farmers by utilizing various Farmer's Markets
whenever possible.
Equally
important as supporting our farmers, is making sure that
our nation's hungry are fed. Jeff is on the organizing committee
for Taste
of
the
Nation
in Los Angeles. Taste
of the Nation is the nation's preeminent
culinary benefit supporting the fight to end hunger.
